Kindergarten

Hi, I'm back! This year, I'm in kindergarten. My teacher is Mrs. Koske. She is really fun and I like her a lot. She likes me too. I get "catches of the day" all the time. That's when you are caught doing something nice or being extra good. I am learning to read, write, and do math this year. But my favorite thing is playing with my new friends.

I am also doing Daisies this year with some of my friends from class, especially Rachel who is my new best friend. This weekend my Daisy troop is singing Christmas songs at a retirement home in Escondido. We get to wear our vests. Thanks to Gammy for sewing my patches on! I'll post pictures when I have some.

Trip to Kansas City

I had fun on my trip to Kansas City! My favorite things about my vacation were: riding in the Rhino (picture), my new friend/cousins Peyton (picture) and Bailey, seeing my Grandma and Papa, and getting two new elephants from my Aunt Alvina (who likes them as much as me!).

Trampoline

I love my new trampoline! I haven't gotten sick of it yet. I am on it every day. I am working on my tricks, I can bounce on my knees and then back up to my feet.

Field Trip

I got to go to the Natural History Museum in Balboa Park with my class. It was so much fun! My mommy came and we got to ride on the bus. They had lots of dinosaur bones there. I got to make an oval penny in a machine that smashes your penny and puts a picture on it. That was my favorite part.

My Day with Gammy

Yesterday I spent the day with Gammy. We went to McDonalds for lunch and I got a happy meal with a Littlest Pet Shop toy. Then we played on the playground. Then Gammy took me to the park which was fun! Later we went back to Gammy's house and watched TV, made cookies, and played Connect Four. I got to take a bath in Gammy's huge tub! It was such a fun day!

Celebrity of the Week

This week, I was voted Mr. E's "Celebrity of the Week" for the whole entire school! Mr. E is our school principal. I won for "being a good friend and helping others." On Monday morning, they announced it over the loud speaker and then I got to recite the Pledge of Allegiance for the whole school. I was a little shy, but mommy says I did a great job! I also got a really neat yellow certificate, and I got my picture taken for Mr. E's wall of fame.

Fun Friday

Today is Fun Friday. It is Fun Friday because we have sharing at school. I shared my gray elephant today. We also have a family movie night on Friday nights. Tonight we're watching "My Dog Skip."

Donut Day

On Thursday regular Papa comes to my house and picks me up for Donut Day. I like to get chocolate with sprinkles or donut holes. Today I got a chocolate with different colored sprinkles. Trent got a chocolate twist. Then we each get a bouncy ball from the machine. Then Papa takes me to school. Papa stays in my classroom for a little while and watches me play before he goes to work.

Jason

Jason is my best friend who is a boy. I love him so much! I wish I could have a play date with him. Every day we like to play in the sandbox at school, we pretend we are making snowmen. We also like to go on the swings, but Jason can't swing by himself so I have to push him! I am trying to teach him how to pump his legs. When my mom picks me up we always hug each other goodbye.

About Me

Hi! My name is Corinne and I am 4 3/4 years old. I will be 5 on June 12 and I am going to kindergarten next year. I am in preschool and I love my teacher, Miss Luvy. My best friends at school are Katy, Jason, and Emily. I love playing with stuffed animals, my favorite animal is an elephant. I love my dog Lucy too. Today I put on my own make-up, I love lipstick! My favorite TV show is Max & Ruby, but I really like "America's Funniest Home Videos" too.
